Sproule's inhouse system has been designed to meet the needs of our clients, to take advantage of the efficiency of Sproule staff at the same time as allowing maximum flexibility, and to react to government regulation change in a timely manner.

Schlumberger's Merak PEEP, PetroDesk, VOLTS

Sproule utilizes Merak's PetroDesk and VOLTS as well as PEEP, which generates both production decline analysis plots and gas P/Z plots. Merak also allows for file sharing with our clients.

Energy Navigator's Value Navigator

Energy Navigator software assists people in the oil and gas industry in making decisions regarding their drilling programs. It is also used by pipeline companies to track oil and gas supply. Value Navigator is designed to evaluate properties and large numbers of wells quickly and efficiently. The program incorporates engineering tools to help locate upside opportunities in properties using decline, material balance and volumetric analyses. Reserves can be reconciled and changes noted for different periods of time, and reserves can easily be tracked with no loss of information when wells are moved or cases changed.

Entero's evMOSAIC

evMOSAIC is an integrated evaluation, reserve management and budgeting tool that offers decline and P/Z analysis graphing tools; a proven economic engine that generates accurate results; comprehensive reporting capabilities including NI 51-101, budgeting and performance tracking; reserves reconciliation capabilities; and integration with external public data sources, field data capture systems, accounting systems and reservoir modeling systems.

Fekete Associates Inc.

Fekete Associates produces software designed for production and reservoir engineers. Sproule is currently using the Fast RTA (Advanced Production Decline Analysis) and PTA (Pressure Transient Analysis) programs.

Paradigm Geophysical

SeisX is a powerful 2D/multi-3D/well interpretation system that enables complete integration of a variety of data types. Its strengths lie in the best mistie and grid balancing algorithms in the industry for properly correcting and integrating multiple vintages of 2D and 3D surveys while calibrating to large well databases.

IHS AccuMap

AccuMap is an oil and gas data management and analysis software optimized for use by discipline. AccuMap provides desktop access to numerous up-to-date databases, including surface and subsurface land, well, pressure, production, pipelines, core, reserves, seismic and logs for the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin and Frontier areas.

GeoGraphix

The GeoGraphix suite of products runs on a PC-based platform, providing users with single or shared data management infrastructure, comprehensive geology and geophysical technology, and integrated interpretation and mapping applications.

PRIZM is GeoGraphix' sophisticated log analysis application that is designed for multiwell petrophysical projects. Designed to meet the needs of both the petrophysicist and geologist, PRIZM contains customizable and interactive tools for data editing, log analysis, and curve displays in multi-well, multi-zone projects. PRIZM is designed for easy integration with the other GeoGraphix products.

GESXplorer is a Windows-based geologic interpretation system, with a basemapping tool that allows for the simple creation of maps and presentations. It utilizes gridding and contouring algorithms that allow users to leverage all relevant geophysical and petrophysical information. As well, GESXplorer includes an interactive cross section system that can easily pick tops and faults while creating and editing geologic cross sections of vertical or deviated wellbores.

Computer Modelling Group

CMG provides practical solutions for oil/gas reservoir modelling and simulation. Sproule utilizes the fully integrated suite of simulation products ranging from grid and model construction, black oil, compositional, and advanced processes reservoir simulators, and Windows-based post-processors for easy analysis of simulation results. Sproule uses the following: IMEX: Black Oil Reservoir Simulator; GEM: Generalized Equation-of-State Compositional Reservoir Simulator; WinProp: Phase Behaviour and Property Program; Builder: Pre-Processing - Simulation Model Building Package; Results Series: Post-Processing - Model Display and Analysis Package.

PetroStudies Consultants Inc.

Sproule uses the 5,000 cell version of EXODUS black oil reservoir simulator for smaller pattern studies, individual well performance, coning predictions, horizontal well appraisal, etc. Completely integrated pre- and post-processors provide point and click operation for data building and analysis of results, and 3D visualization capability with stereographic vision is included.

Neotechnology Consultants

FORGAS software, from Neotechnology, is designed for forecasting short- and long-term gas production and gas storage systems. It allows the user to evaluate a wide variety of development and operating strategies. Sproule uses FORGAS for gas field deliverability forecasting and development scheduling.

Sproule also uses Neotec's popular nodal analysis software, WELLFLO 7, to calculate well hydraulics with proven multiphase flow technology.

IHS Energy Group

Sproule uses OilWat/GasWat to perform sophisticated material balance calculations. The programs utilize sophisticated data analysis models to calculate original oil in place and original gas in place for oil and gas reservoirs with or without water influx. They also predict future pressure performance for reservoirs, with or without water influx.
