Cameron Six P.Eng.

President and CEO

As President and CEO, Cameron’s role is to provide the leadership and management required to assure business success and sustainable growth in line with the strategic plan defined by the Board. Cam was previously Chief Operating Officer at Sproule. His 13-year tenure at Sproule includes reserve and contingent resource evaluations, acquisitions, divestitures, security commission reports, reserve audits, and international property evaluations. Cam has provided expert witness testimony across the globe as well as support to legal teams for litigation purposes. He lectures at the University of Calgary, and instructs the Sproule evaluation of Canadian oil and gas properties course. Cam has held various technical and management positions with Mobil Oil Canada and ExxonMobil Canada.

Nora Stewart P.Eng.

Senior Vice President, Reserves Certification

Nora is Senior Vice President for global Reserves Certification at Sproule. She has extensive experience in the areas of reserve evaluations, acquisitions, divestitures and fair market value assessments. With over 35 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, she supports investor confidence with Sproule’s third-party independent evaluations, audits and reviews. Internationally focused, Ms. Stewart oversees projects where disclosure requirements are defined by international standards, including PRMS, COGEH, SEC, NI 51-101 and COPs. With expertise in supply-demand analysis, she is responsible for all energy price analysis and forecast development at Sproule.

Scott Pennell P.Eng.

Senior Vice President, Engineering

Scott is Senior Vice President Engineering, leading Sproule’s global engineering services team. Scott has over 20 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. His worldwide experience includes conventional and unconventional oil and gas resources. Scott has also worked on leading liquefied natural gas (LNG) projects in Canada. He is an experienced engineering professional in the areas of reserves and resource evaluations, due diligence, and deliverability studies. Scott is currently a member of the program advisory committee at SAIT Polytechnic.

Attila Szabo P.Eng.

Senior Vice President, Strategic Advisory

Attila is Senior Vice President of Sproule’s Strategic Advisory practice area. He has over 35 years of industry experience supporting acquisition, disposition and investment opportunities, technical due diligence, and financial and annual reporting requirements for various projects in Canada and internationally in Pakistan, India, China, Kuwait and the United States. He has also provided support to legal teams for litigation, and has provided expert witness testimony.

Barrie Jose MSc, P.Geoph.

Chief Geoscientist

Barrie is involved in the management of Sproule’s geosciences services. He has conducted a wide variety of offshore and onshore projects in over 50 countries worldwide since 1979, applying considerable technical expertise in 3D seismic interpretation to both field development and exploration in clastic and carbonate play types, complexly structured plays, seismic attribute analysis and advanced 3D visualization and reservoir characterization. His extensive global expertise makes him a highly sought-after for play and prospect analysis, reserve and resource evaluations and for international and domestic expert witness testimony and litigations. 

Mark Van de Veen QC, JD, MBA, LLM

Senior Vice President, Corporate Services and General Counsel

Mark has over 30 years of experience working in various capacities in the oil and gas industry in Calgary as well as internationally. As Senior Vice President, Corporate and Legal and Corporate Secretary with Sproule, he provides oversight to the Accounting/Finance, HR, Administrative Services and IT groups, and advises the company with respect to all legal matters.

Krisztina Howery MBA

Vice President, Business Development

Krisztina is Vice President of Business Development at Sproule. She has over 20 years of experience in the energy industry and offers an extensive background in commercialization, strategic marketing, partnerships, business development and sales. Krisztina’s role is focused on developing and maintaining client relationships and on building market strategies to expand Sproule’s footprint in North America.

Christoffer Mylde MSc

Vice President, Corporate Development

Chris is Vice President of Corporate Development and is responsible for the firm’s corporate and strategic development initiatives. He provides executive guidance and supports the Board with respect to strategic and corporate development opportunities. Chris is part of Sproule’s commodity price forecast group and has taught oil and gas pricing at the University of Calgary and several industry courses, and he has presented at international conferences. Prior to joining Sproule, Mr. Mylde spent 10 years in corporate finance and advisory with a global investment bank focused in the energy sector.

Jim Chisholm P.Eng.

Vice President, Reservoir Characterization & Integrated Studies

Jim is Vice President and leads Sproule's Reservoir Characterization and Integrated Services practice area. He oversees the company’s global expansion efforts for reservoir characterization and is focused on driving top-line growth for the organization. Jim has extensive experience in the estimation of reserves and economics for oil and gas properties, acquisitions and divestitures, preparation of regulatory submissions, and evaluations of oil and gas companies.

Steven Golko P.Eng.

Vice President, Capital Strategies

Steven is Vice President of Capital Strategies and is responsible for driving product innovation at Sproule. The Capital Strategies practice area leverages technology, best-in-class analysis, insights and partnerships to effectively help clients develop low-permeability reservoirs and optimize their portfolios. Steven is an experienced engineer in the areas of reserve evaluations and year-end evaluations, acquisitions, divestitures, security commission reports, reserve audits, and resource assessments. He has written a number of papers on property evaluation methodologies and best practices.

Alec Kovaltchouk P.Geo.

Vice President, Geoscience

Alec Kovaltchouk is responsible for leading the Geoscience department at Sproule. Alec has been a Sproule professional since 1997 and has over 32 years of industry experience. He has experience in Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, the Czech Republic, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Mexico, Poland, Romania, Russia (Dagestan, Siberia and the Volga-Ural region) and Ukraine. His worldwide experience includes conventional and unconventional oil and gas resources, including shale gas and shale oil, heavy oil and oil sands, and coal bed methane. Alec is fluent in English, Polish, Russian and Ukrainian.

Alison M. Redford QC

Director, Regulatory Strategy and Development

Alison leads Sproule’s initiative to support resource sector stakeholders with the development and adoption of regulatory frameworks and processes. Examples include public policy planning, advising on bidding and tenure, sustainable resource development, contract models, fiscal regimes, and local content and technology transfer. Alison previously served as Premier of Alberta from 2011 to 2014 and, prior to that, as Minister of Justice and Attorney General from 2008 to 2011. Before entering politics, Alison worked on institutional change and public sector reform and on governance of regulatory institutions in post-conflict situations, including in South Africa, Afghanistan, Bosnia and sub-Saharan Africa on behalf of the United Nations, the Commonwealth and the European Union.

John Carlson P.Eng.

Director, Training

John is Director of Sproule’s Training program. He is responsible for course curriculum development and liaises with other organizations to support new course offerings critical to the oil and gas industry. Prior to joining Sproule, John was Associate Vice President, Energy at SAIT Polytechnic in Calgary. He managed a global portfolio of courses and was responsible for overall energy training revenue growth.

Michael Stevens CFA, CPA, CMA

Vice President, Finance

In Michael’s role as the Vice President of Finance, he focuses on capital budgeting, financial and management accounting, and IFRS financial reporting, as well as strategic planning, financial analysis, treasury, and corporate restructuring. Michael brings over 15 years of professional experience to Sproule, having worked in commercial banking, midstream, for a top-performing energy company on the TSX, as part of a team that successfully sold three energy companies.

Brian F. Carnahan P.Eng.

Senior Vice President, Asset Operations

Brian has over 35 years of experience in the Western Canadian oil and gas industry and has held senior engineering and operations management positions in junior to senior producing companies. Brian joined Niven Fischer as a partner in 2011 and was responsible for delivering leadership and technical expertise on all projects and asset management assignments. In his role at Sproule, Brian leads the Asset Operations team including land, accounting and engineering that is accountable for fulfilling the Asset Management mandates. Brian balances work with his longtime leadership and philanthropic commitment to the Rotary Club of Calgary East.

Randall J. Green P.Geoph.

Senior Vice President, Asset Management

Randy is the Senior Vice President of Asset Management at Sproule and has over 33 years of technical and executive management experience in the oil and gas industry, working in both public and private companies. Randy founded, built and sold two junior oil and gas producing companies prior to taking a leadership role at Niven Fischer in 2008. He was instrumental in building the brand, expanding the services, growing the company and delivering on a value-added promise prior to Niven Fischer’s acquisition with Sproule. In his role at Sproule, Randy is responsible for growing the asset management business to meet client’s needs in a cost effective and efficient manner.  Randy balances his passion for business with a commitment to philanthropy and volunteerism including an eight-year term as a director of YMCA Calgary.
