Jim Chisholm P.Eng.
President and CEO
Jim Chisholm is currently the President and Chief Executive Officer at Sproule. With a 13-year tenure at Sproule and over 20 years of experience in the oil & gas industry, Jim is a seasoned engineering expert and business leader. Prior to his role as CEO, he was instrumental at expanding Sproule’s footprint in the Latin American market. Focused on driving top-line growth for the organization, Jim brings a wealth of technical expertise in reserves and resource evaluations within all major classification systems across the world and has extensive unconventional, heavy oil and enhanced oil recovery experience.
Christoffer Mylde M.Sc.
Senior Vice President, Corporate Development
Chris Mylde is currently Senior Vice President of Corporate Development at Sproule in Calgary. As part of the senior leadership team at Sproule, he drives the company’s global growth strategy. Chris has over 20 years experience and speaks frequently at industry events and conferences around the world on key trends in global energy markets. Prior to joining Sproule, Chris spent 10 years in corporate finance and advisory with HSBC in London, Hong Kong and Toronto and Simmons, a boutique advisory firm focused exclusively on the energy sector. He has a B.Sc. in Economics and Economic History from the University of Warwick and an M.Sc. in European Political Economy from the London School of Economics. Chris has been pleased to serve as the Norwegian Honorary Consul for Southern Alberta since January 2019.
Mark Van de Veen KC, JD, MBA, LLM
Senior Vice President, Corporate and Legal, Corporate Secretary
Mark has over 30 years of experience working in various capacities in the oil and gas industry in Calgary as well as internationally. As Senior Vice President, Corporate and Legal, and Corporate Secretary with Sproule, he provides oversight to the organization’s HR, Administrative Services and IT functions, and advises the company with respect to all legal matters.
Steven Golko P.Eng.
Managing Director, Reservoir Services
An accomplished leader with a track record of driving innovation, Steve now leads Sproule’s Reservoir Services team comprised of over sixty geoscience, engineering and commercial experts around the world. Steve is an experienced engineer with 15 years of experience in the areas of reserves evaluations and audits, supply studies, security commission reports, and resource assessments. An industry thinker and innovator, Steve has written several papers on property evaluation methodologies and best practices and helped develop several new offerings at Sproule.
Richard Wade P.Eng.
Managing Director, Asset Management
Richard Wade is the Managing Director, Asset Management at Sproule. He brings over 25 years of diverse technical and managerial experience in the oil and gas industry, spanning major E&P corporations and junior start up companies, both public and private. Rich has extensive experience in corporate leadership and strategic direction as well as all aspects of production operations across North America. He consistently seeks to add value to complex projects in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.
Sheldon McDonough
Managing Director, Energy Advisory
Sheldon is currently serving as the Managing Director, Energy Advisory with Sproule. He has 22+ years of experience in energy investment banking, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions and business development. Sheldon has broad experience with clients ranging from private companies to large multinationals and NOCs throughout Canada, United States and Asia.
Floris Veeger
Managing Director, Geothermal
Floris Veeger is the Managing Director, Geothermal at Sproule. He founded Sproule’s geothermal arm, Veegeo, in 2012 and has dedicated his career to geothermal development. Providing strategic advice to all subsurface related E&P activities for several of the pioneering geothermal operations in the Dutch greenhouse horticulture region, Floris has been a key figure in shaping the current geothermal landscape in the Netherlands. Prior to founding Veegeo, he had a stint as an operations manager of a large mining services company in Australia. Floris has a B.Sc. in Applied Earth Sciences and M.Sc. in Resource Engineering from Delft University of Technology.
Colleen Thompson
Vice President, Finance
Colleen Thompson is currently serving as the Vice President, Finance for Sproule where she oversees the financial operations. She has over 33 years experience in private, public and corporate finance, in a variety of sectors including oil and gas service, engineering and professional services. Colleen is a Chartered Professional Accountant with global experience in regulatory compliance, corporate finance, financial reporting, budgeting, treasury, and tax. A strategic leader with a track record of optimizing finance teams to run efficiently and streamlined, She also has experience providing fiscal oversight, strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions.

Danilo Bandiziol
Vice President, Europe, Middle East, and Africa
Danilo is an experienced oil & gas professional, having over 30 years of international career with large integrated oil and gas organizations and service companies. From field engineering to reservoir management, he has held various technical and managerial positions across the E&P industry’s development and production spectrum. Danilo has extensive experience in reserves and resources assessment (PRMS, SEC, AIM) and has a strong track record in leading integrated subsurface studies and volumetric estimations. In his current role, Danilo is focused on helping clients find best-fit solutions for their technical and commercial challenges. Danilo is currently member of the SPEE and member of the SPE Oil and Gas Reserves Committee (OGRC)
Jorge Milanese
Regional Director, Latin America
Jorge Milanese is Sproule’s Regional Director of Latin America responsible for developing and executing Sproule’s client engagement strategy in the region. Jorge is an experienced oil and gas professional with expertise in domestic and international business development, acquisitions and divestitures, corporate development and upstream assets management. He had a leading role in a wide range of conventional and unconventional energy projects in North and South America. His areas of expertise include upstream investment opportunity identification, both in conventional and unconventional reservoirs, financial and technical evaluation, strategy development and contract negotiation and administration of operated and non-operated joint ventures.
Scott Monette
Regional Director, United States of America
Scott Monette is Sproule’s Regional Director for the United States responsible for developing and executing Sproule’s regional business expansion and client engagement strategy. Scott is a senior energy executive with over 25 years’ experience from various business development and leadership roles in consulting, advisory and E&P companies. His diverse experience includes management consulting, ESG consulting, techno-economic analysis, decision theory, energy economics and asset valuation. Scott has a strong record in leading carbon management, government advisory and US shale transformation projects across the Americas.
Perry Zich P.Eng.
Vice President, Asset Management Operations
Perry Zich is a Senior Petroleum Engineer with 32 years of diverse industry experience in a wide range of business functions, including asset management, strategic planning, creation and execution of development opportunities, and all forms of operations. He has expertise in production engineering and has strong knowledge in reservoir engineering principles for conventional and unconventional oil and gas condensate reservoirs, including sandstones, carbonates, shale, CBM, H2S, CO2, secondary & tertiary recovery, etc. Perry also has a strong aptitude for project economics, acquisitions and divestitures, horizontal well technology, well and facility construction and optimization, financial analysis, and overall project management
Richard Holst P.Eng.
Manager, Reservoir Characterization
Richard has over 26 years experience in integrated reservoir and gathering system simulation studies, including shallow gas, tight gas, shale gas, gas storage, coalbed methane, liquid-rich gas, black oil and fully compositional. He has supervised and conducted studies in both conventional and unconventional oil and gas. Richard has experience in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Colombia, Gabon, Iran and Libya, and at Sproule he concentrates on performing oil and gas reservoir and pipeline simulation.
Richard Hares P.Eng.
Principal, Carbon Management
Richard is currently the Principal, Carbon Management for Sproule where he manages the Carbon Management practice area and helps clients chart the pathways to a net zero future. He has had experience in mapping the geological storage potential in Western Canada, providing insight into carbon dioxide storage resources required to support future low-carbon intensity products, and developed global benchmarking tools for CCUS through industry research projects with the University of Calgary. Richard has 12+ years of experience in resource evaluation and development as a petroleum and geological storage engineer, having worked in both Canada and the United Kingdom. Richard has an MSc. in Sustainable Energy Development.
Han Claringbould
Senior Geologist, Geothermal
Han Claringbould is a Senior Geologist at Sproule’s geothermal arm, Veegeo. He is responsible for all geology-related services and seismic risk management in geothermal and has recently developed a novel monitoring tool for seismic activity around geothermal operations. He has over 10 years experience in exploration from E&P companies and leading research institutions globally. Prior to Veegeo, he conducted research for a major national oil company, was a fellow at the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory at Columbia University in New York and worked at the Earthquake Research Institute at the University of Tokyo. Han has a B.Sc. in Geology from Utrecht University, an M.Sc. from the Colorado School of Mines and a Ph.D from Imperial College in London.
Doug Ashton P. Eng.
Vice President, Reservoir Services
Doug is currently the Vice President of Reservoir Services at Sproule, leading a team of engineering, geoscience, and commercial experts in delivering technical excellence to global clients. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Calgary and is a registered Professional Engineer (APEGA). Doug has over 30 years of experience as a reservoir engineer, including eight years working for E&P companies, five years in investment banking, and over 17 years as an Independent Qualified Reserves Evaluator / Auditor, which includes over 12 years as a project manager and team leader. Doug’s reservoir engineering and project management expertise includes reserve and resource certifications, field development planning, reservoir modelling, and economic analysis. Doug has worked most of his career in Western Canada, has global experience conducting reserve and resource evaluations, and has a deep and passionate commitment to his clients. In addition to traditional oil and gas projects, Doug also has experience in the application of oil and gas recovery and evaluation methods in alternative industries such as helium exploration and mineral production from sub-surface brines.

Senior Manager, Engineering
As Senior Manager of Engineering Gary leads a cross-functional team responsible for reserves and resources evaluations and audits around the world. He is a project leader, supervisor and responsible member for various reserves evaluation and audit projects across North America. Gary has over 20 years of industry experience and supports companies in reporting on oil and gas assets to standards such as NI 51-101, the SEC, and SPE-PRMS.
Meghan Klein P.Eng.
Senior Manager, Engineering
Meghan Klein is a Senior Engineering Manager leading a dynamic team involved in reservoir characterization, reserves evaluations and audits. She conducts technical and responsible member reviews and is a project leader for various reserves evaluation and audit projects, due diligence projects and strategic advisory projects in Canada, the United States (Williston Basin), North Sea (United Kingdom), Africa (Cote d’Ivoire, Nigeria), Thailand, China, Indonesia, Australia, and Iraq. Meghan supports global E&P companies reporting on oil and gas assets in standards such as NI 51-101, SEC, PRMS and SKK Migas for listings on the Canadian and US exchanges, AIM (London Stock Exchange), and Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
Robert Warholm P.Eng.
Senior Manager, Quality and Assurance
Rob is Sproule’s Senior Manager of Quality and Assurance within the Engineering Services Group. He has over 31 years of industry experience conducting petroleum and natural gas evaluations including acquisitions, dispositions, technical due diligence, and financial and annual reporting for numerous projects globally. He has also provided support to legal teams for litigation and has worked on large regional studies regarding the assessment of carbon dioxide EOR potential. Rob supports companies in reporting on oil and gas assets within the NI 51-101, SEC, and SPE-PRMS standards.
