In this half-day hands-on course, attendees will assess the options available to a company when considering drilling a well. Specifically, attendees will consider the issues related to either drilling or farming out the opportunity.
The attendees will learn the inputs needed for an economic evaluation, the difference between royalty and working interests, the mechanism of a farm-in and how to estimate well recovery, which will allow attendees to generate an evaluation and present the results of their analysis. Topics include:
- Creating an economic evaluation
- Assessing the drilling opportunity and the alternatives
- Reviewing the evaluation
- Recommending a course of action
This course is designed for oil and gas professionals new to the industry who may be involved in the evaluation of oil and gas development opportunities, reserves assessments, and mergers and acquisitions or dispositions of assets.
